Starting with $1,100 in cash and three used cars on consignment, "Advance Auto Sales" quickly grew to be the largest DeSoto-Plymouth dealership in Maine. Under the leadership of Lifshitz's son, Shepard "Shep" Lee, Lee Auto Malls grew to become one of Maine's largest car dealership groups. Today, we are Maine's No. 1 volume auto dealer, with six new car franchises, nine LeeCars used car stores, and eight Lee Credit Now dealerships acquired from the Linnehan family in 2009. Lee company is third-generation family-owned and operated: Adam Lee serves as Chairman of the Board and Donald Lee is company president.
