Greenhut Galleries' owner, Peggy Greenhut Golden, has a strong commitment to community involvement, both locally and globally. As a member of the Portland Public Arts Committee, she has spent the year assessing the needs of our city-wide collection of public art to help recognize and care for these works so we may all enjoy them in the years to come. In her gallery she has held an exhibition for the survivors of breast cancer during the month of October drawing attention to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Biannually, the gallery hosts THE PORTLAND SHOW; an invitational show that asks artists living and working in the state of Maine to interpret Portland through their artwork.
